Blue Line Portocala S.L.
Oropesa del Mar, Castellón
This project is located on the side of a mountain facing the Mediterranean Sea, with its geometry responding to the concept of opening out to the sea and the Benicàssim coastline. This was a longitudinal plot with a steep slope, into which a sinuous volume was inserted to adapt to the terrain and the landscape. The construction fully opens up to the views and the sun and allows for transversal communication with the backdrop of mountainous areas populated with Mediterranean vegetation.
Homes are arranged to face the sea on three levels terraced together to generate large terraces and gain maximum garden space on the ground floor. Thus, transit areas, at the rear façade, were conceived to open onto the landscape, propitiating interconnection and generating continuity with the surroundings.
Integration and dialogue with the landscape was considered a major challenge, so the project was endowed with materials of a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere, with a predominance of wood, white and the use of lattices to attenuate the light and control the sunshine.
