BTO House

This project consists of a detached house set out on two floors within a perfectly triangular perimeter. The geometry is not a capricious exercise, it is a response to the constraints of the location, orientation and views of plot, seeking a sense of unity and great firmness that is definitively manifested from the very beginning, with no possibility of later additions. The plot is located at the intersection of two streets within the tourist area of Benicàssim, and it was intended as the permanent home of a young couple that wanted airy interiors with as little compartmentalisation as possible. The triangular shape represents the two streets outside, protecting itself from view and opening up as far as possible to the landscaped garden and the area in which the pool is located, as well as enjoying attractive views over an existing pine forest.Large open spaces are located within the diagonal of the triangular perimeter, both on the ground floor and on the first, creating very long views and a fluid relationship between inside and out.The masonry cladding is set off with exposed white brick, combined with concrete slabs and wooden panelling on the main façade.Inside the finishes are simple, predominantly white with sober furnishing using the client’s well-chosen designer pieces.
